Are you an instrument designer planning to use a gas sensor?

We have 15 years of experience in the design of gas sensing instruments. Gas sensors are chemical systems as well as electronic components, and applications aren’t always straightforward. Give us a call if you have a problem to discuss. Suggestions or contributions for this web site are also welcome.

Are you a scientist planning to use a gas sensor in a research context?

We can help there, too. If we can’t, we can probably point you to someone who can. In the past two decades, we have been involved in the following projects (among others):

• A monitoring instrument for volcanic gases that operates for months in the field, in extremely corrosive and hostile conditions, and radios its data to a distant observer.
• Sensor array-based instruments for identification of toxic vapors and for quality control of grain products.
• Very sensitive, hand-carried devices to measure ozone, nitrogen dioxide, nitrous acid, arsine, hydrogen cyanide, hydrogen sulfide, and other gases at sensitivities of 3 to 10 parts per billion.
• Specialized sensors for chlorinated hydrocarbons and natural gases.
• Design of a very stable and sensitive NDIR carbon dioxide sensor for an international company.
• Sampling systems for hostile environments, such as reaction furnaces and soldering furnaces.
• Sampling systems to convert nondetectable gases to gases that can be detected by ordinary gas sensors.
• Third-party evaluation of instruments and systems.
